  • Joseph Hough

    DVM

    Dr. Hough graduated from Washington State University in 1973. He finished a residency in internal medicine In 1976. Dr. Hough was a owner/partner of Temple City Animal Hospital in San Gabriel Valley prior to moving to Big Bear. Outside interests include golf, fishing, bird dog training.

  • John DeLandtsheer

    DVM

    Dr. DeLandtsheer was born and raised in Big Bear, graduating from Big Bear High School in 1996. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis. Following veterinary school, he worked in a large, 24 hour emergency hospital where he specialized in emergency medicine, orthopedics, and soft tissue surgery. In 2010 he was awarded a scholarship to study orthopedic surgery at the NAVC Institute. Dr. DeLandtsheer is excited to return to Big Bear and looks forward to raising his 3 year old twins with his wife, Kim in the wonderful community of Bear Valley.

  • Carla Rodrigues

    DVM

    Dr Rodrigues graduated from Montclair State University in her home state of NJ with a Bachelor of Science degree focused in the field of Biology with a minor in English Literature. She graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Working as a dedicated assistant for 8 years prior to attending veterinary school brings a great deal of depth to Dr Rodrigues' appreciation of the human-animal bond. In addition to the studies in St Kitts, Dr Rodrigues has pursued veterinary medical studies at the University of Minnesota, Manhattan, Switzerland, Lake Tahoe, Vancouver, and South Africa. Dr Rodrigues and her doggie companion Stella, her rescue mutt from St Kitts, enjoy exploring the outdoors, hiking and adventurous travel! She is bilingual, Portuguese was her first language and she has been fortunate to have grown up immersed in her Portuguese culture.
